Mountain City Methodist Church is a little church with a huge heart. Located in beautiful Rabun County, Georgia, the church has been sharing God's love for almost 150 years. Mountain City Methodist welcomes visitors with open arms and a "come as you are" mindset.

Our church participates in mission trips both in the U.S. and abroad. Members have rebuilt homes destroyed by tropical storms and repaired churches in some of the poorest parts of Appalachia. MCMC actively supports many charities, including the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund and FAITH. If you are looking for a loving church home, please come join us for our 10:00 a.m. Sunday services!

Earliest church records show the church was established circa 1875 in a little log cabin, shared by Baptist and Methodist worshippers. In 1907 the groups decided to separate and build their own churches, and our new church building was constructed for a price of $1200! When the town of Mountain City was incorporated, the church changed its name from Passover Methodist Church to Mountain City Methodist. Over the years, pastors "rode a circuit," tending to several small Rabun County churches, including Tiger, Antioch and Mountain City. Now we have our own pastor, Dr. Karen Frank. She assumed the role pastor in 2019. Dr. Frank wants people to know that "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good."
